The Fund’s investment themes are firmly aligned with its investment focus of targeting well placed property opportunities that will generate superior returns for the Fund’s Investors. Mpande aims to provide Investors with long-term capital growth through exposure to a focused unlisted property fund.
The Fund has the capacity to make Direct Investments, being Individual Investments or Co-investments with other investors, and Indirect Investments, being investments into property funds, in the unlisted property sector. The Fund targets investments in the major property sectors of Retail, Residential, Office and Industrial, leveraging its BBB-EE credentials to originate quality assets that will achieve the Fund’s targeted returns.
Investment focus includes the following:
- Building a blue-chip Office and Industrial property portfolio through the pursuit of Sale and Leaseback transactions.
- Investing in Retail and Residential property portfolios.
Mpande aims to be a responsible investor and has strong Developmental and Socially Responsible Investing (“SRI”) objectives. The Fund strives to adhere to the principles of Eco-investing or Green Investing, and the support of environmentally friendly products and practices. In this regard, the Fund, has developed a comprehensive Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) matrix with which the underlying investments are measured.
The geographic focus of the Fund is South Africa.
